Detours and Courtesy Stops

Occasionally, a bus may need to detour away from its route. This could be due to road construction or a traffic accident. When this happens, the bus will use the bus stop prior to the obstructed stop or at the next safest location.

If the bus is completely detoured away from the passenger’s bus stop, the operator can make a courtesy stop once the operator has been notified by the passenger that she or he wants to exit the bus.

If the detour will be longer than one day, GET will notify customers on the website and on social media.
