WHAT CAN GET DO TO INCREASE ITS FARE REVENUE?
- GET could use distance-based pricing for on-demand services. (This would not affect On-Demand Paratransit, since those fares are based on fixed-route fares.)
- GET could reduce the non-cash fare media to three options: single-ride, day pass, and monthly pass.
- GET is not considering an across-the-board fare increase at this time. However, the prices of some fares (such as monthly passes) could be adjusted.
- GET could increase contributions from outside sources, such as Tejon Ranch and local colleges.
