GET’s annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive was even bigger than last year!
Last year we collected 5,012 pounds of food, this year – 8,409 pounds. Last year $4,401 was collected, this year we collected $7,054! The CAPK Food bank gets discounts on food which means $7,054 will buy 49,379 pounds of food. After adding that to the 8,409 pounds collected through the drive, the Food Drive provided 57,788 pounds of food for hungry families in Kern County!
