F Street closure between 23rd Street and 24th Street this weekend
An around-the-clock closure for F Street, between 23rd Street and 24th Street, is scheduled to begin on Saturday, January 12, at 5 a.m. and is expected to continue through Sunday, January 13, at 7 p.m. The closure affects northbound and southbound traffic on F Street. Both 23rd Street and 24th Street will remain open to traffic while work is underway. Northbound and southbound motorists can use H Street to avoid the weekend closure.
F Street will remain partially closed at this location through the following week. From Monday, January 14 through Friday, January 18, only one lane will be available to traffic in each direction on F Street; 23rd Street and 24th Street will be open to traffic.
A closure will also be in place at Drake Street and 24th Street next week. This around-the-clock closure is expected to be in place by 7 a.m. on Monday, January 14 and is expected to remain in place through 7 p.m. on Friday, January 18. Motorists will not be able to travel to or from Drake Street and 24th Street during the closure.
These closures are needed for drainage work in conjunction with the 24th Street Improvement Project.
