GET joins in the Holiday Spirit at the 39th Annual Bakersfield Christmas Parade
Bakersfield, CA — The Golden Empire Transit District (GET) will be participating in the 39th Annual Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 2, 2021 along with 76 other participants that will follow the parade route bringing holiday joy to Kern County residents. “We’re trying to introduce more people to transit, and showing off our beautiful buses is a fun way to do it,” said Karen King CEO of GET.
From December 3 – 31, 2021 GET fixed route “Christmas Bus” and On-Demand Paratransit “Christmas Bus” will be providing FREE rides on a different route everyday starting after the Christmas Parade. “This is GET’s gift to Bakersfield this holiday season,” said Karen King, GET’s CEO. “With Free rides on the Christmas Bus we thought this would be a fun way to share the holiday joy.
